BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh said today that the Central government was working on a war footing to fight Corona-19 and within the next couple of months the production of vaccination would reach the desired level.
In a statement he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been personally supervising and mobilising the official machinery as a result of which as many as 13 licensed manufacturers of Covishield, Covexin and Sputnik are on track to increase production and by July next 17 crore doses would be available.
Six more manufacturers are in various stages of development and by the year-end 19 manufacturers would be at the task to produce around 60 crore doses which would be a world record under the leadership of the prime minister.
Chugh said production of medicines is being increased by two methods. First, by increasing the number of manufacturing units. And second, by increasing the production capacity of existing units. /(May 29, 2021)
