Plantation campaign in collaboration with IDPD at SKS Senior Secondary Public School Neelon

Ludhiana, August 20, 2022: SKS Senior Secondary Public School, Neelon, on the occasion of Van Mahautsav held a plantation campaign to promote the environment and check pollution so as to keep the air clean. The function was held in collaboration with Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD). Dr. Arun Mitra, Co-President, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and Senior Vice-President IDPD participated as the chief guest and contributed to this campaign by planting saplings.  
 
His team mates included Dr. Monica Dhawan Senior Surgeon, Dr. SK Prabhakar Psychiatrist, Dr. Hitesh Narang Pathologist, Dr. Suraj, Dr. Akunsh, Dr. Gurveer Singh, Dr. Rajat, Dr. Seerat Singh Sekhon were also present representing the IDPD and IPPNW, the Nobel Peace Prize winner in 1985 and 2017.  
  
Dr. Arun Mitra in his speech on environment said that we should plant more and more saplings to save our environment, air, water, earth so that our future generations can get a safe environment. He also said that trees contribute in balancing the environment. He also shed light on global warming. Dr. Monika Dhawan inspired each student to plant one plant on their birthday. 
 
Dr. Suraj and Dr. Ankush gave a speech for the improvement of environment for the preservation of human and animals. They also inspired to plant neem tree, aloe vera and other trees around their houses. Principal of the school Jasveer Kaur Mann and members of the management committee of the school, S.Ajit Singh Gill and S.Amarjit Singh Sekhon presented the certificates to the guests. 
 
Amarjit Singh Sekhon, a member of the management committee of the school, thanked the guests for taking time out of their precious time to come here and said that in every difficult time we should take a vow to plant more trees to keep the environment clean and with which Let's reduce the reactions that pollution is causing.
