National Women Commission Member Mamta Kumari on Sunday inaugurated the Punjab's first Tere Mere Sapne centre in civil lines locality, a vital step toward fostering stronger family connections and empowering youth for successful marriages.

Ludhiana, August 3, 2025: National Women Commission Member Mamta Kumari on Sunday inaugurated the Punjab's first Tere Mere Sapne centre in civil lines locality, a vital step toward fostering stronger family connections and empowering youth for successful marriages.
A second centre will be opened tomorrow in the district court complex, further expanding this transformative initiative.
Earlier, Kumari visited the Red Cross Senior Citizens Home and Shree Swami Vivekananda Trust, assessing the amenities provided at these facilities.
Sangeeta Kulshrestha from NCW, SDM Jasleen Kumar Bhullar, DCPO Rashmi Saini, CDPOs Ravinder Kaur, Davinder Kaur and others were also present.
The NCW Member Kumari highlighted that the Tere Mere Sapne centres are designed to equip young individuals for marriage through expert counseling on emotional, social, and psychological aspects. These centres focus on promoting mutual respect, emotional closeness, and effective approaches to resolving marital challenges, fostering healthier relationships and a more cohesive society.
Kumari underscored the significance of the initiative, noting, “In today’s fast-moving world, family values are often overlooked. The Tere Mere Sapne centres will provide young people with the necessary wisdom and emotional guidance to create meaningful marriages, establishing a foundation for stronger families and communities. She further emphasized that the centres will offer professional support to help young individuals navigate the intricacies of modern relationships, ensuring they are well-prepared for marital responsibilities.
