Ludhiana, June 1, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency, held a poll meeting at a park in Maya Nagar this morning. He expressed gratitude to party leaders, workers, and supporters for their overwhelming support during the past three months of election campaigning.
Arora presented a three-year report card highlighting various development works undertaken during his tenure. He praised the state government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for efficiently implementing pro-people policies. He emphasized that the government is delivering essential services directly to people's doorsteps. Citing his own example, Arora said that most public issues brought to him were resolved on the spot. He assured that, if elected, he would work four times harder for the constituency. Arora remarked that the massive support he is receiving shows that “people themselves are contesting this election for me.”
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Minister Ravjot Singh lauded Arora’s personality and commitment to public service. He urged voters to seize the opportunity to elect a capable and development-focused leader. He noted that Arora has earned a reputation as both a social and development-oriented figure. He also encouraged people to stay in the city and cast their votes on polling day, June 19.
Dr. Sukhchain Kaur Bassi, Chairperson of PEDA, also addressed the gathering. She appealed to voters to support Arora just as they had supported her late husband, Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, in the previous election. She called Arora the right candidate to represent Ludhiana (West) and assured the public that he would raise their voice in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. It may be noted that the Ludhiana (West) seat fell vacant following the untimely death of Gogi.
Among those present were Sanjeev Dhanda, Dr. Ashish Ahuja, Dr. Sulbha Jindal, Dr. Arvind Goyal, Dr. Iqbal Singh Ahuja, Raju Kanojia, and Mala Dhanda.
