PCTE Students Shine at The Everest Better Kitchen Culinary Challenge Season 6
PCTE Group of Institutes is proud to announce that its final-year students from the Faculty of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Rishu and Mr. Sunil, have secured First Prize at The Everest Better Kitchen Culinary Challenge, Season 6, held at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, on Friday.

Ludhiana, February 8, 2025: PCTE Group of Institutes is proud to announce that its final-year students from the Faculty of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Rishu and Mr. Sunil, have secured First Prize at The Everest Better Kitchen Culinary Challenge, Season 6, held at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, on Friday.
As India’s largest and most prestigious culinary competition, the event celebrates culinary innovation and skill development, bringing together aspiring chefs, industry experts, and leading culinary institutions from across the country. The competition is proudly supported by Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
With the theme of the Pcteian students, “Flavours of India – Dekho Apna Desh,” participants prepared a three-course menu, featuring:
• A Regional Lost Recipe
• Tyohar Ka Meetha (A Traditional Festive Dessert)
Rishu and Sunil impressed the judges with their culinary expertise, presenting:
• Paneer Kibti – A rich and flavorful lost recipe
• Chenna Aur Gur Paturi – A traditional festive sweet of Bengal, where homemade cottage cheese and jaggery are combined into a sweet dish, wrapped in banana leaves, and steamed.
Celebrity chefs Chef Vishwadeep Bali and Chef Neelu Kaura were present as judges at the event. Their remarkable achievement has earned them a place in the Grand Finale in Jaipur, where they will compete against the nation’s top young chefs.
