PCTE Student of Fashion Design bags a Gold Medal

Ludhiana, January 19, 2022: Eight students of B. Sc. Fashion Design Program bag positions in the recently declared Merit List by the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. The merit list has been declared after 2016 and the students have bagged university positions for 4 consecutive years.

Deepti Gupta of Batch 2016- 19 got the gold medal for holding the first position with 9.23 CGPA. Antarjot Kaur of Batch 2017- 20 and Anu Bansal of Batch 2018- 21 bagged third position with 9.07 & 8.98 CGPA. Palk Verma of Batch 2018- 21 & Simarpreet Kaur of Batch 2018- 21 bagged fourth position with 8.95 CGPA. Arshdeep Kaur of Batch 2015-18 & Amandeep Kaur Sidhu of Batch 2017- 20 bagged fifth position with 8.63 & 8.93 CGPA. Lastly, Sapna of Batch 2018- 21 bagged tenth position with 8.75 CGPA.

Deepti Gupta who bagged a gold medal was elated after the declaration and said that “Getting a gold medal is a proud moment and the happiness after hearing this news could not be explained in words. She added by saying that she had put in a lot of effort and had worked day and night for it. At last, she thanked the faculty members for their constant support and guidance.

Ms. Manpreet Mann, Head Coordinator, PCTE Faculty of Fashion Design said that all the position holders had put in a lot of effort and had always stood ahead in studies, practical work and extracurricular activities which ultimately helped them to secure university positions and a rewarding career.

 Dr. KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE congratulated the students and said that “The Students at PCTE not only perform well academically but also excel in extracurricular activities on campus in order to achieve overall development.”
