Ludhiana, November 11, 2025: The Department of Journalism at Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) organized an industrial visit to Hindustan Times and HLV Film City, Mohali, for its first-year and final-year students. A total of 52 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit aimed at providing practical exposure to the media and production industry.
At the Hindustan Times office, students explored the editorial department and the printing press. The team conducted a live demonstration of the newspaper production process from story selection and editing to layout design and printing. Students observed how the editorial and technical teams work in perfect coordination to ensure timely publication of the daily newspaper.
Later, at HLV Film City, students were taken on a detailed tour of both indoor and outdoor sets. They observed the designing, construction, and dismantling of sets, gaining valuable insights into film direction, cinematography, and production management. The visit helped them connect classroom concepts with real-world media operations.
