The event was a vibrant celebration of craft, culture, and creativity, focusing on preserving India’s traditional crafts and promoting sustainable fashion. With enthusiastic participation from students and insightful contributions from industry leaders, the conclave and exhibition showcased how innovation and tradition can merge to shape a more conscious future for fashion.

Ludhiana, October 1, 2025: The Faculty of Fashion Design at PCTE Group of Institutes successfully organised Craftique 2025 on September 30 and October 01, 2025, at Crimson Hall, Campus–2. The event was a vibrant celebration of craft, culture, and creativity, focusing on preserving India’s traditional crafts and promoting sustainable fashion. With enthusiastic participation from students and insightful contributions from industry leaders, the conclave and exhibition showcased how innovation and tradition can merge to shape a more conscious future for fashion.
 Craftique 2025 was conceptualised to draw attention to India’s rich craft heritage and instill in the younger generation a sense of pride and responsibility toward sustaining it. At a time when Indian techniques are widely adopted by global brands, the event highlighted the importance of promoting our own traditions with zero-waste practices, eco-friendly design, and sustainable innovations that respect both artisans and the environment.
 The event was enriched by eminent guest speakers. Neeraj Dhir, Co-Founder of A-Star Clothing, shared his journey of redefining children’s fashion with style and quality, motivating students to build careers with vision. Manpreet Kaur, Founder of Parveen Phulkari House, Patti, passionately spoke about preserving the legacy of Phulkari embroidery while adapting it for modern markets. As a third-generation artisan and entrepreneur, she urged students to value their roots while embracing global opportunities. Mr. Vishal Vivek, Co-Founder of Ukhi and a sustainability expert, inspired with his pioneering work in turning agricultural waste into compostable plastics and developing hemp-based fabrics. Recognised by Forbes, he stressed the need for young designers to see fashion as both art and responsibility.
 Expressing her thoughts, Amandeep Kaur Brar, Coordinator of Fashion Design, extended gratitude to the guest speakers and underlined the value of blending creativity with sustainability. She said, “Special thanks to our esteemed speakers, Vivek, Manpreet, and Neeraj, for sharing their valuable time and insights with us. Their inspiring discussions on sustainable fashion have truly enlightened us. They beautifully explained how zero-wastage management, low carbon footprints, and the promotion of Indian crafts can play a vital role in safeguarding our planet and shaping a better future.”
 The event also featured a spectacular fashion show where students walked the ramp in Macrame-knotted costumes designed and created entirely by themselves. These outfits reflected the harmony between traditional crafts and sustainable design, standing as a testament to the creativity and commitment of PCTE’s young designers.Concluding on a high note, Craftique 2025 not only celebrated India’s craft heritage but also sparked meaningful conversations on sustainability and eco-conscious creativity. It was a proud moment for PCTE Group of Institutes as the event successfully merged knowledge, innovation, and artistry, while setting an inspiring example of how education can contribute to preserving culture and promoting sustainability in fashion.
