PCM S.D. College for Women Organizes Insightful Session on Indian Knowledge Systems
The P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized an engaging and enlightening session on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in collaboration with Utkarsh Minds Technologies, Mumbai and Mumbai Level Up, Pune. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about India’s rich intellectual heritage and its relevance to modern technological advancements.
Jalandhar, February 23, 2026: The P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized an engaging and enlightening session on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in collaboration with Utkarsh Minds Technologies, Mumbai and Mumbai Level Up, Pune. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about India’s rich intellectual heritage and its relevance to modern technological advancements.
The distinguished speakers for the session were Dr. Srikant P. Kallurkar, Retired Principal of AET’s Atharva College of Engineering, Mumbai, and Dr. Anand Prakash, Professor at NICMAR University, Pune. They eloquently highlighted the deep connections between traditional Indian knowledge and contemporary domains such as Artificial Intelligence, innovation, and the cultivation of human wisdom. The speakers emphasized how ancient Indian philosophies and scientific approaches can inspire modern technological solutions and ethical advancements in the digital age.
Shivani Sharma, Head of the Department of Computer Science, formally welcomed the esteemed guests and introduced the theme of the session. An interactive segment was also organized, during which students enthusiastically participated in discussions, asked thought-provoking questions, and gained valuable insights into integrating cultural wisdom with technical education.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A round, encouraging students to adopt an interdisciplinary approach in their academic pursuits and to explore the application of Indian Knowledge Systems in emerging technological fields.
