PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized a 7-day Internship Program on Yoga and Meditation in collaboration with ALFA Mahendru Foundation to promote spiritual awareness, mental well-being, and a balanced lifestyle among students.

Jalandhar, March 12, 2026: PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized a 7-day Internship Program on Yoga and Meditation in collaboration with ALFA Mahendru Foundation to promote spiritual awareness, mental well-being, and a balanced lifestyle among students. 
The program was conducted under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for the students of the B.A.–B.Ed. four-year integrated department.
The internship program witnessed enthusiastic participation, with around 50 students attending the sessions regularly and actively engaging in various activities focused on yoga, meditation, and spiritual learning.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Sadhvi Kawal Bharti, disciple of Ashutosh Maharaj from Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, along with Sadhvi Pallavi Bharti, Coordinator of the Jalandhar branch. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by the college Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar and Vice Chairman Harsh Mahendru, along with other members, with garlands, bouquets, and the traditional presentation of a red chunri.
Addressing the students, Dr. Sadhvi Kawal Bharti shared valuable insights on spiritual knowledge, meditation, and ways to lead a stress-free life. 
Through inspiring examples, stories, and engaging activities, she motivated students to maintain inner peace and balance in their daily lives.
During the internship program, Mrs. Rekha Uppal conducted daily morning yoga sessions, guiding students through various yogic postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation practices to help them develop physical fitness and mental calmness.
President Ramesh Mahendru paid homage to Ashutosh Maharaj and appreciated the efforts of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan for promoting Sanatan values and working for the welfare of humanity. He welcomed Sadhvi Kawal Bharti and Sadhvi Pallavi Bharti and acknowledged their contribution to spreading spiritual awareness.
Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar expressed gratitude to the respected Sadhvi sisters and stated that such programs contribute not only to the physical development of students but also to their mental and emotional well-being. She emphasized that PCM S.D. College for Women is committed not only to providing academic education but also to inspiring students to achieve higher goals in life with confidence and courage.
The program was effectively anchored by Prof. Muskan Kalra. As a token of appreciation, the college and ALFA Mahendru Foundation presented mementos to Sadhvi Kawal Bharti and Sadhvi Pallavi Bharti. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Ritu Gill.
