PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar participates in Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign to inspire Society for a more liveable Planet

In an ernest tribute to the life and ideology of Mahatma Gandhi, PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar  participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign from September 15 to October 2, 2023 with great enthusiasm to inspire students and the society for cleanliness and sanitation. Swachhata Hi Seva, a nationwide campaign organized jointly by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), aims to foster community participation and ignite a Jan Andolan  for cleanliness. 

The central theme of SHS-2023 has been 'Garbage Free India,' which highlights the significance of waste management and cleanliness in our communities. In the wake of this, various Departments of the college  such as NCC, NSS, Youth Club, Green and Environment Audit Cell,  Fine Arts and Music  conducted various events  to promote and participate in the campaign. In addition to this, NCC Cadets   also organized a Nukkad Natak on Swachata Hi Seva,  promoting cleanliness and hygiene. 

President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice-President Vinod Dada, the members of the managing committee and the worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated all the participants, cadets  and Departments  whose contribution made Swachhata Hi Seva 2023 a resounding success. The Principal also said that college always remains committed to the cause of cleanliness and will continue to promote a clean and green environment for all.
