PCM S.D. College for Women Holds Outreach programme under ‘Earn While You Learn’ Scheme
Under the ‘Earn While You Learn’ Scheme, the P.G. Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women organised an Outreach Program/On-Job Training for twenty one days for the students of XI of Government Senior Secondary School, Nehru Garden.

Jalandhar, December 16, 2025: Under the ‘Earn While You Learn’ Scheme, the P.G. Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women organised an Outreach Program/On-Job Training for twenty one days for the students of XI of Government Senior Secondary School, Nehru Garden.
It aimed at enhancing practical skills and providing hands-on training to the Senior Secondary students. The curriculum focused on foundational skills including sketching, designing and Basic hand or Machine stitching.
Moreover, students prepared creative articles such as wall painting , cushion covers and many more and exhibit on the last day of their training. They actively participated in this training programme and gained valuable exposure to essential garment construction techniques.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar appreciated the department for providing students with an on-job training experience that helped them develop confidence and competence in basic stitching.
