Panjab University to host Leadership Program for College Principals
Panjab University’s Centre for Academic Leadership and Educational Management (CALEM), under the Department of Education, Chandigarh, will host a Leadership Development Program (LDP) for College Principals on August 26, at the CALEM Building, South Campus.

Chandigarh, August 25, 2025: Panjab University’s Centre for Academic Leadership and Educational Management (CALEM), under the Department of Education, Chandigarh, will host a Leadership Development Program (LDP) for College Principals on August 26, at the CALEM Building, South Campus.
The event sponsored by the Dean, College Development Council (DCDC), Panjab University, is aimed at strengthening academic leadership and enhancing institutional governance. About 70 Principals from Panjab University affiliated colleges will participate to discuss issues of leadership and institutional growth.
The program will open with an inaugural session, featuring an address by Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, and will be presided over by Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The program convener, Prof. Satvinderpal Kaur informed that the LDP will serve as a dynamic platform for college principals to deliberate on emerging challenges and the evolving skill set required for effective leadership roles. The day-long event will include lectures by eminent speakers and interactive sessions designed to inspire and guide participants.
The event will conclude with a valedictory address by Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University, marking the culmination of a significant step towards equipping institutional leaders with vision, resilience, and strategic insight.
