Panjab University to Conduct Joint B.Ed. Admissions for 203 Colleges in Punjab
Application to starts from June 18

Chandigarh, June 5, 2025: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has been entrusted by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab, to conduct the Joint B.Ed. Admissions for the 2025–26 academic session. The admissions will cover 203 colleges of education affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala, and Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, all located in Punjab. A total of 23,085 seats will be available across these institutions.
The Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Ed. admissions will be held on August 3, 2025, across all district headquarters in Punjab. Online registration for the entrance test and admissions will commence via a dedicated website, which will be launched on June 18, 2025. The students can apply till July 18 on the website. Advisory committee meeting was held in PU campus today to finalise the admission and counselling schedule.
The result of the entrance test will be announced on August 16, 2025. Candidates must secure a minimum of 25% marks to qualify, with a 5% relaxation for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste category. Other eligibility criteria regarding minimum marks at the graduation/master’s level will be as per existing rules.
B.Ed. admissions will be conducted through two rounds of centralised online counselling, and the counselling schedule will be available exclusively on the Panjab University website. No separate advertisements will be issued.
The entire admission process will be completed by September 17, 2025, while regular classes for Semester I are scheduled to begin from September 3, 2025, following the conclusion of the second round of counselling.
