Panjab University to Conduct Centralised B.Ed. Admissions for Colleges of Education in Chandigarh for Session 2025–27

Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, will conduct the centralised admission process for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course for the academic session 2025–27, having been authorised by the Department of Higher Education, UT Chandigarh.

Chandigarh June 9, 2025: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, will conduct the centralised admission process for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course for the academic session 2025–27, having been authorised by the Department of Higher Education, UT Chandigarh.

As many as 270 seats will be available in various Colleges of Education located in Chandigarh and affiliated with Panjab University. Admissions will be based on merit determined through the Common Entrance Test (CET B.Ed. – 2025).

Prof. Anuradha Sharma, Coordinator of the PU Admission Committee for B.Ed., informed that the first meeting of the advisory committee was held at Panjab University to finalise the admission process and counselling schedule. The prospectus and online application form will be available on the official portal starting June 13, 2025. The last date to submit the online application form is July 4, 2025.

The entrance test will be conducted on July 13, 2025, with examination centres located only in Chandigarh. The result of the entrance test will be declared on July 24, 2025. The minimum qualification of this B.Ed. Course is graduation with 50 percent marks. No separate advertisements will be issued in newspapers.

Admissions will be conducted through centralised physical counselling based on CET merit. The first round of counselling will be held in the second week of August 2025. All updates regarding admission criteria, the scheme of examination (CET), counselling schedule, and reservation policy will be available exclusively on the official website. Candidates have been advised to check the website regularly for updates, read the prospectus carefully before applying, and follow all instructions strictly. To avoid last-minute delays, candidates are requested to apply well in advance.
