Chandigarh, February 5, 2026: Government Home Science College, Chandigarh organised a Pre-Placement Talk by ICICI Bank under the aegis of the Directorate of Higher Education, Chd. Admn. with the objective of preparing students for future career opportunities in the banking and corporate sector.
The session was conducted by Rajesh, Regional Head, and Shivali, HR Head, ICICI Bank. The speakers provided comprehensive insights into the organisation’s recruitment process, career pathways, work culture, and the skills expected from aspiring professionals. The experts emphasised the importance of communication skills, professional ethics, adaptability, and continuous learning in today’s dynamic corporate environment. They offered a lucrative stipend amount of rs. 18000 pm. during two months training by the bank followed by package of 5 lacs per annum for post of relationship manager. The selection will be based on on line aptitude test and interview of the candidates. The session was highly interactive, allowing students to clarify doubts and gain practical career-oriented guidance.More than 100 students from UG and PG final year attended the session.
The Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal, appreciated the initiative taken by the IEP Cell and lauded the valuable contribution of ICICI Bank. She emphasised that such industry–academia collaborations are essential for holistic development of students.
