Panjab University Organises Interactive Session on Yoga for Academic Excellence
Panjab University through The Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies organised a Special Interactive cum Practical Session on “Yoga for Academic Excellence, Health and Research Productivity”.
Chandigarh, March 16, 2026: Panjab University through The Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies organised a Special Interactive cum Practical Session on “Yoga for Academic Excellence, Health and Research Productivity”.
The session was conducted by Priyanshi and Prashant, who guided participants through interactive discussions and practical demonstrations of yoga postures, breathing techniques and mindfulness practices. They explained how regular yoga practice can help reduce stress, improve concentration, strengthen emotional balance and enhance efficiency in academic and research work.
Students and research scholars actively participated in the yoga exercises and learned simple yoga techniques that can be incorporated into daily routines to maintain a balance between academic responsibilities and personal well-being. The speakers also shared insights on managing academic pressure and developing a focused and productive mindset.
Prof. Manish Sharma, Chairperson, Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies, PU, encouraged students and researchers to adopt yoga as a regular practice for maintaining physical and mental well-being.
The department also acknowledged the contribution of its alumnus, Atul Khanijo, who donated an LED TV to the department, appreciating his continued association with the institution.
