Panjab University Non-Teaching Employees Federation Organises Langar
The Panjab University Non-Teaching Employees Federation (PUNTEF) today organised a saawan langar at Panjab University. This was the fourth such annual langar organised by PUNTEF.

Chandigarh, August 26, 2026: The Panjab University Non-Teaching Employees Federation (PUNTEF) today organised a saawan langar at Panjab University. This was the fourth such annual langar organised by PUNTEF.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Meenakshi Goyal inaugurated the langar, which was attended by Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations; Prof. Krishan Kumar, Secretary to the Vice Chancellor; Prof. Y.K. Rawal, Dean Student Welfare; Prof. Namita Gupta, Dean Student Welfare (Women); Dr. Vineet Punia, Director Public Relations; Anil Thakur, XEN; Honey Thakur, President, Panjab University Staff Association, along with office-bearers and large number of PU non teaching employees.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Meenakshi Goyal appreciated the initiative of the Federation and lauded the employees for organising the langar through their collective efforts. She said that such initiatives promote a spirit of community, togetherness and mutual goodwill among the University fraternity.
Welcoming the Vice Chancellor, Honey Thakur said that the langar had been organised with the collective efforts of the non-teaching employees and that all preparations had been made by the employees themselves.
