To celebrate International Yoga Day, the NCC Unit of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts, organized a Painting Competition on the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health".

Jalandhar, June 15, 2025: To celebrate International Yoga Day, the NCC Unit of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts, organized a Painting Competition on the theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health". 

The event was conducted under the guidance of Associate NCC Officer Captain Priya Mahajan.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who expressed their creativity and understanding of yoga’s deep connection with holistic health and environmental harmony through vibrant paintings. Each artwork beautifully reflected how yoga serves as a bridge between individual well-being and global sustainability.

The purpose of the event was to create awareness among the youth and the larger community about the significance of yoga as a powerful tool to maintain balance between mind, body, and environment. It aimed to promote the message that through the regular practice of yoga, one can achieve personal health, which in turn contributes to the health of society and the planet.

President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar applauded the activity which emphasized  the importance of integrating traditional practices like yoga into our daily lives for a healthier and more harmonious world as well as using art as a medium to spread this vital message. They also appreciated the efforts of NCC incharge ANO Captain Priya Mahajan and Aashima, Assistant Professor, Department of Fine Arts.

The college remains committed to nurturing values of wellness, discipline, and responsibility among students and society at large. Through such initiatives, PCM SD College continues to inspire young minds to be agents of positive change.
