Pacific Mall Tagore Garden redefines love this Valentine’s Day with dog adoption

Pacific Mall Tagore Garden in association with NGO People for Animals had organized a 2 day adoption drive from February 13-14 on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. The NGO has been known for promoting the idea of ‘be Indian, promote Indian. Therefore, in order to encourage the adoption of Indie street dog, the mall and NGO have hosted this drive.

There were around 10 dogs and puppies present at the mall premises. People for Animals follows two aspects before they let someone adopt a pup – the legality aspect and morality. The initial phase involves filling out a template with details like who will be the primary caregiver and if the apartment is a rented one or owned by the dog owner. Secondly, they have an MoU with non-negotiable terms like the custody of the pup has to be maintained by the person adopting and can’t be transferred to a relative or a neighbour.

Mr. Abhishek Bansal, Executive Director, Pacific Group said, “We were glad to receive such positive response from our visitors. Animals are very sensitive and seekers for love and care, with the organization of such events in our mall premises we are trying to extend them the affection they deserve. At Valentine’s Day, we get good footfall, and we hope to utilize this towards a noble cause.
