Online session organized at UIET, PU

Chandigarh: An online collaborative session was organized by department of Information Technology, UIET, Panjab University to help young engineering students preparing for recruitments. The main objective of the session was to guide students how to grab the dream job in multinational companies and avoid the common mistakes during interview.
Speakers of the event Mr. Arpit Ganesan-ZS Associates, Mr. Hasandeep Singh-KPMG, Mr. Sagar Kalra-Samsung and Mr. Gurpreet Singh-Amazon encouraged students to work on their logical abilities by working on competitive programming, attending hackathons events as well as on their soft skills. Along with the technical skills they also emphasized on the non-technical skills required to showcase one's personality.
Participants were also guided about the platforms providing good internships and the importance of social networks especially LinkedIn which could be proved as a great resource for getting opportunities in all fields.
Organizers of the event Mr. Sukhvir Singh, Assistant Professor, Dr. KrishanKumar, Professor cum Coordinator IT department andMs. Shruti Srivastava Student-convener, Training and Placement Cell, UIET thanked the speakers for sharing their experiences with participants. They emphasized that such kind of sessions are really helpful for students in preparing for job interviews. More than 100engineering students participated in the session and explicitly interacted with the speakers regarding their queries.
