On last day of election campaign, Deepender gave the mantra to the workers to stay awake and committed

Rohtak, May 23, 2024: Congress candidate Deepender Hooda campaigned vigorously on the last day of election campaign in Haryana, and said this country will not allow BJP's plans to convert democracy into monarchy to succeed.

Hooda gave the mantra to all the workers to 'stay awake and stay committed,' to remain fully alert and said that they have to remain ready till the last vote is polled on May 25. “The real election will start after the campaign is over. People have to ensure that like last time, no irregularities take place in the elections and the elections are conducted entirely on the basis of issues related to the common people – inflation, unemployment, crime, corruption and the stalled development of Haryana,” he said.

Hooda, while addressing the election rally in Panipat today along with Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi in support of the Congress candidate, said that both the engines of the double engine government have broken down and are in such a condition that they cannot work even after repairs. “In a country of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Samvvidhan, the BJP government has neither spared the soldiers, nor the farmers and now they are talking about abolishing the Samvidhaan (Constitution) too. We will not allow any harm to the country's Constitution,” he stated.

He campaigned in areas like village Sunaria, Paharawar of Kalanaur constituency, village Gizhi, Dattaur, Hasangarh and other villages of Garhi Sampla Kiloi constituency and appealed to vote as much as possible in favour of Congress, and said that every class is unhappy with the present government and wants to get rid of it. “Today every class including farmers, workers, employees, youth, women, businessmen are troubled. During the last 10 years of BJP rule, neither any big project nor new investment or industry came up here. Unemployment is at its peak. By bringing Agneepath scheme, BJP created an army of unemployed,” he said.

He said there is huge resentment towards the BJP government in every corner of the state and people have decided for change. “This is the reason why BJP kept running away from talking about the issues of common people in this election and kept trying to turn non-issues into issues. They neither have any achievements of their own to show, nor any future plans for the development of the area and the state,” he stated.

Hooda shared information about the development work done for the area with the people and also appealed to support, and bless him in the elections on the basis of his work.

Describing the guarantees of Congress' Nyaya Patra, he said that when Congress forms the government, it will give Rs 1 lakh per year to a woman from every poor family under Mahalaxmi Yojana. He further said that in order to reduce the crisis of unemployment, recruitment will be done on 30 lakh vacant government posts in the Center in a time bound manner as per the calendar when the Congress government is formed.

“In Haryana, more than 2 lakh youth will be recruited on the vacant government posts. We will do time bound confirmed recruitment. Farmers will be given guarantee of MSP and freedom from debt. When the Congress government comes to power in the state, the elderly will get ₹ 6000 old age pension, 300 units of free electricity, old pension scheme will be given to the employees and housewives will be given gas cylinders for ₹ 500. By implementing a free plot scheme of 100 square yards for poor families, they will be given a 2-room house at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh,” he promised.
