Odisha BJP to launch month-long 'Seva Sankalp' campaign from Sept 17
The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' campaign to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service, dedication and nation-building, with programmes planned across all organisational districts, mandals and booths in the state.
Bhubaneswar, Aug 26 (IANS) The Odisha unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' campaign to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service, dedication and nation-building, with programmes planned across all organisational districts, mandals and booths in the state.
The campaign will be held from September 17 to October 17, with the party organising 13 major programmes aimed at reaching out to people at the grassroots level.
To ensure the success of this month-long initiative, a state-level workshop was held on Wednesday at the state party office, which was attended by State BJP President Manmohan Samal, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State BJP In-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, Ministers of state government, party office bearers, etc.
Sharing details about the programmes, the Odisha Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra said that as part of the celebrations, the citizens across Odisha will light lamps at their homes on the evening of September 17, the Prime Minister's birthday, and take a pledge for a 'Viksit Bharat'.
Similarly, blood donation camps and other service activities will be organised at the state, district and block levels.
He also added that from September 17 to October 7, various competitions such as drawing, speech and elocution will be organised in schools across the state to disseminate information about Prime Minister Modi's public service initiatives and his vision of a developed India.
Students who excel in these competitions will be felicitated and awarded certificates of merit.
Street plays under the 'Namo Seva Gatha' initiative will be staged across schools, colleges, and panchayats to highlight major welfare schemes and national transformation.
From September 25 to October 7, all Anganwadi centres will host 'Anganwadi Samman' and 'Matru Sambad' sessions to educate mothers and children on health and nutrition schemes.
Real-life experiences will be showcased under 'Paribartanara Kahani' and 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' with active participation from local digital creators and influencers.
Under 'Seva - Mora Yogdana Abhiyan', citizens will take up 25 key service and beautification tasks in their localities.
Additionally, block-level camps will be held under the 'Seva Setu Abhiyan', while 'Rangoli Rashtra' will feature massive human rangolis depicting key welfare initiatives at prominent public places.
The month-long campaign will culminate in the 'Janasevak Mahakumbh', where around 1.25 lakh public representatives will sing all six stanzas of Vande Mataram together on October 17.
