Jalandhar, March 7, 2023: NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar, Disha-Deep NGO and Nishkam Sewa Welfare Society, Jalandhar.
Principal Prof Jasreen Kaur inaugurated the camp and motivated the donors to donate blood. She added the blood donation is the best form of service to humanity. She encouraged the students to celebrate the festival of Holi by not only throwing colours but also by adding colours to one’s life. NSS volunteers also appealed to the students by holding placards to donate blood for the needy.
NSS Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that this is the second blood donation camp in last five months. He added that there was footfall of 80 students and faculty member out of which 59 were able to donate blood.
Lion SM Singh, caretaker of NGO Disha Deep, who has donated blood 77 times, motivated the volunteers to take part in this noble cause.
During this camp, Prof Jaswinder Kaur, Prof Palwinder Singh, Prof Sukhdev Sagar, Prof H.S. Sekhon, PO Prof. Surbjit Singh, Prof. Sarbjit Kaur, Prof. Sonu Gupta, Prof. Balraj Singh, Capt Jaswinder Singh, Ramesh Lakhanpal, Tarsem Jalandhari, SP Singh were present.
