Chandigarh, October 3, 2025: NSS Panjab University organised a Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme under Seva Pakhwada, directed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India at the Panjab University campus.
The event saw the active participation of nearly 150 NSS volunteers from affiliated colleges and the university campus.
The programme was graced by the presence of the Regional Director of NSS UT, DYO My Bharat Mohali, DYO My Bharat UT, Youth Icon, Director, Youth Welfare Dr. Sukhjinder Rishi, Prof. Rajat Sandhir, and Dr. Manraj. It was held under the guidance of Dr. Parveen Goyal, Programme Coordinator NSS, and Dr. Sonia Sharma, in collaboration with the Youth Welfare Department.
Volunteers engaged in creative and competitive activities such as poster making, rangoli, and declamation competitions, all themed on the vision of Viksit Bharat. These activities not only encouraged artistic expression but also promoted youth engagement in the ideals of national growth and service.
The initiative was part of a larger nationwide effort, wherein 75 events on Viksit Bharat were conducted across India between 17 September and 2 October 2025. The Panjab University event stood as a significant contribution, reinforcing the commitment of young volunteers towards the nation’s development goals.
