NSS Camp concludes at Ramgarhia Girls College

The seven day long National Service Scheme (NSS) camp on the theme of "Swachh Bharat, Fit India ", organised at Ramgarhia Girls College from 10 Jan to 16 Jan 2023, reached a successful culmination here.

Ludhiana, January 16, 2023: The seven day long National Service Scheme (NSS) camp on the theme of "Swachh Bharat, Fit India ", organised at Ramgarhia Girls College from 10 Jan to 16 Jan 2023, reached a successful culmination here. A thorough effort was made to develop the personality of the volunteers through community service. They were given knowledge about First Aid, Civil Defense, Personal Hygiene etc. An effort was also made to spread awareness about the hazards of plastic kite string which is causing many fatal accidents these days. A number of activities like painting, gardening, embroidery and upgradation of the environment were also undertaken. The NSS officers organised a series of lectures for inspiring the students to form a youth brigade having the core values of morality and humanity. The Lohri festival was also celebrated with the theme of 'The joy of life- The Girl Child '. The NSS volunteers also played a Nukad Natak on the theme of "Say No to Plastic Kite String." The NSS Volunteers also visited Gurudwara Flahi Sahib and Gurudwara Alamgir Sahib. A free Eye - Check-up camp for NSS volunteers was also organised on the same day. On the concluding day, a Chetna Rally was taken out to spread awareness about keeping our surroundings neat and clean. The rally began with the waving of the green flag by Offg. Principal Prof. Jaspaul Kaur and starting from the college; it covered Gill Road and its adjoining areas. 

The Principal congratulated the programme officers, Prof. Dr. Harbinder Kaur, Prof. Kiran Bala and Prof. Heena. Prof. Jaspaul Kaur said that it is about time that we start to live by the saying "Cleanliness is next to godliness". S.Ranjodh Singh , President, Ramgarhia Educational Council, said such extra curricular activities went a long way in developing a balanced personality of an individual. Such activities developed the qualities of team spirit, strong will power and leadership among the students that contributed in shaping good citizens. The camp ended with the vote of thanks by S. Gurcharan Singh Lottey, General Secretary of Ramgarhia Educational Council.
