Chandigarh, September 17, 2026: A blood donation and free health check-up camp was held  at Sarangpur-Dhanas here on Thursday as part of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan  which started on September 17 - PM Modi's birthday and will go on till October 17. The initiative marks 25 years of PM Modi's public service.
Senior BJP leader and party co-incharge for Himachal Pradesh BJP Sanjay Tandon participated in the camp, which was organised by the BJP OBC Morcha, Chandigarh. A total of 90 units of blood collected during the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Tandon said, “There is no greater service than saving a life through blood donation. Blood donation is a noble means of saving lives, and even one unit of blood can play an important role in saving the life of a person in need.”
He said the free health check-up facility provided at the camp was also an important step initiative towards creating greater awareness about healthcare.
“Service, dedication and concern for society are the values that give direction to such initiatives. Programmes organised with the spirit of public welfare further strengthen our collective resolve to serve society,” he said.
Tandon congratulated Satpal Verma , State President(OBC Morcha),  BJP  Chandigarh, for organising the camp.
