Rohtak, May 7, 2026: A career awareness and guidance session for NCC cadets was organized on Thursday at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), located at the local Tilyar complex. Approximately 350 NCC girl cadets from the districts of Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, and Jhajjar participated in this event.

Vikas Deshwal, a lecturer at IHM, explained that the objective of the program was to provide students with information regarding the career and employment opportunities available in the fields of hotel management and hospitality after completing their 10+2 education. During the session, the students were apprised of the various courses offered at the IHM, its modern training facilities, and the employment prospects within the hospitality industry.

IHM lecturers—Brijesh Wadhwa, Priyanka Hooda, Pratibh Budania, Umesh Kumar, and Saurabh Sapra—said that, in addition to a 3-year B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) degree program, the institute also conducts various diploma courses related to hotel management and hospitality. To secure admission to these courses, it is mandatory to have passed the 10+2 examination from any academic stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science).

They further informed that the admission process for these courses is currently underway. During the educational tour, the students observed the institute's state-of-the-art kitchen laboratory, training restaurant, housekeeping laboratory, and other training facilities. The students demonstrated particular enthusiasm and interest regarding building a career in the field of hotel management.

IHM Principal Shambhu Nath Gautam, expressed his gratitude to all the officers—including Colonel Amit Mathew, the Chief Executive Officer of the Girls' NCC Battalion—as well as to the NCC cadets, and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
