NCC Girl Cadets undergo drone training at NSTI Ludhiana

Ludhiana, July 25, 2025: The ending of specialized training program Operation and Handling of Drones” successfully on 25th July 2025 at Ludhiana for 14 cadets of NCC Group Ludhiana. The training provided cadets with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in drone technology, including assembly, flight operations, safety protocols, and maintenance. The closing session featured a review of the day’s activities, certificate distribution, and an interactive discussion where cadets expressed enthusiasm and curiosity about future applications of drones in defense and civilian sectors. The program marked a significant step in enhancing technical awareness among NCC cadets and aligned with the organization’s vision of preparing youth for emerging technological challenges.
The Drone training given to NCC Girl Cadet as part of contemporary training and Skill Development initiative based on higher direction of the Director General National Cadet Corps. Lt Gen Gurbir Pal Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM and guidelines from the Additional Director General Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate Maj Gen Jagdeep Singh Cheema and guidance of the Group Commander Brig Paramjeet Singh Cheema, SM, VSM. The Drone training as part of NCC Curriculum has been aligned with the Prime Ministers National aim of Skill Development. The Regional Director Project Lt Col Vishal Arora ensured the NCC cadets are imparted skill in Drone training.
The training is being imparted under the planned initiative of Commanding Officer Col R S Chauhan, along with PI Staff, Associate NCC Officers (ANO), and other technical professionals, ensuring a robust learning environment and disciplined engagement. Already 20 NCC Girl Cadets and training staff have undergone certification training in Drone handling.
This initiative reflects a significant step towards integrating modern technology into youth training under the NCC, preparing cadets for future challenges with hands-on experience and expert mentorship.
