NCC Cadets ready for the current situation of the country

Jalandhar, May 15, 2025: The incident of the cowardly massacre of 26 tourists by terrorists in Pahalgam, Kashmir had shaken the entire India. In response to this, the government launched Operation ‘Sindoor’ with the cooperation of the three armies to destroy the terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. After this, the Pakistani army started air and ground attacks on India.
 
In this war-like emergency, it was imperative for the world’s largest uniformed youth organization, NCC, which is also known as the ‘second line of defense’, to come into action. As per the instructions issued by the Director General NCC Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, NCC cadets were started training on war level across the country. Under this, under the able leadership of Commanding Officer Colonel Vinod Joshi, 2 Punjab Battalion NCC Jalandhar, NCC cadets from various educational institutions were trained in civil defense and rescue techniques.
 
At the School of Eminence, Tanda, a 16-member team of the 7th Battalion of the State Disaster Response Force, Bathinda, led by Assistant Commander Pankaj Sharma, NCC cadets and school students were taught first aid methods, so that immediate help could be provided in an emergency situation.
 
Principal Rajesh Kumar thanked Commanding Officer Colonel Vinod Joshi and Assistant Commanding Officer Pankaj Sharma for instilling in the Indian youth the spirit of security of nationalism. NCC Officer Vipul Singh made a significant contribution in the management and conduct of the said training program. All the staff and students of the school were present during this entire training.
