National workshop on development of research tools in physical education commences at PU

Chandigarh: One week National Workshop is planned by the Centre for Academic Leadership & Education Management (CALEM) Department of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the aegis of PMMMNMTT, MHRD (GOI) in collaboration with Department of Physical Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh on the theme 'development of Research Tools in Physical Education 'from June 10-15, 2020 in the series of CALEM programmes  started today  through online mode in PU Chandigarh. 
Prof. Raj Kumar V C, P U Chandigarh gave the opening address to the participants . Prof. Jatinder Grover CALEM Director welcomed the VC and other participants. Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Chairperson & Programme Coordinator Department of Physical Education Panjab University, Chandigarh gave the brief introduction  on the theme of the workshop. 
Prof. A.K. Uppal ,Retd. V.C.,Jiwaji University, Gwalior spoke on the theme topic Laboratory research and experimental designs. Around 130 participants from various states of India registered for this one week workshop. Moreover international speakers from Singapore, Ukraine, Malaysia and Slovakia will deliver their talk in this one week workshop. 
Everyday three sessions will be conducted. The aim of the seven days National Workshop on "Development of Research Tools in Physical Education" is to create the awareness among the faculty members about the procedures to develop research tools, standardization of research tools, application of research tools and ethical considerations to be followed while using research tools. The focus of the workshop will be to enhance the capacity of the teachers of physical education regarding development of research tools.
