National Science Day 2022 at GNA University

Jalandhar, March 8, 2022: Faculty of Natural Science under the aegis of GNA University organized two days National Science Day supported by DPSCST, NCSTC, DST & GU -IIC, under Azadi ka Mahotsav. National Science Day is celebrated every year throughout the country to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on February 28, 1928. With an objective to provide a vivid platform to future Scientists and budding learners, GNA University has organized a two day event comprising of Exhibition of working and non – working models, Poster Presentation, Quiz competition on different topics in science and Guest lectures by Dr. Navdeep Goyal, Professor, Department of Physics, Punjab University Chandigarh and Dr. Rajat Sandhir, Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Punjab University Chandigarh.

 The positions in each section were bagged as follows:

I. Poster Presentation:
1st position:  Seeya Januja 

II. Working Model:
1st position: Amandeep Kaur, Rupali Kashav

III. Non - working Model:
1st position: Anjali Bhandari, Bishan Kaur

IV. Quiz – Competition:
1st position: Sukhpreet Singh & Lovepreet Singh

 Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice-Chancellor, GNA University during her congratulatory note to the students said, “I congratulate each one of you about your creative work done on models and posters which can create interest and motivate the other students to participate in such events.”
