Aashay Mishra aka Vaibhav from Sony SAB's Shubh Laabh- Aapkey Ghar Mein.

•    How does it feel to be associated with Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein?
•    It feels great to be a part of this unique show which has a beautiful ensemble. I am equally excited about starting this new journey. Besides that, I am very grateful for everyone for giving me this opportunity to be a part of this show and play a character as complex as Vaibhav. I was extremely thrilled on hearing about this opportunity. To be working during these challenging times is a blessing.

•    Tell us something about your character, Vaibhav in the show. What makes it stand out?
•    Vaibhav is the youngest member of the family and enjoys all the privileges of being the youngest one. Smart and educated Vaibhav shares a beautiful bond with his mother and is cordial with all the family members. One thing that defines Vaibhav is his attitude which is laidback. He’s lazy and doesn’t believe in doing things swiftly but instead procrastinates, this shiftless approach of his puts him in unpleasant and difficult situations.

•    What is the one thing that excites you the most about this character?
•    The challenge that comes with playing this character is what excites me the most. Again, Vaibhav is lazy but you can’t perform a lazy guy in an inactive manner. It’s his approach towards work that he’s not responsive but that doesn’t mean that he’s irresponsible. At the moment, I’m trying my best by exploring and trying to live as Vaibhav. I’m sure the audience will appreciate and love my performance just as they always have.

•    Have you done any special preparations to bring the character of Vaibhav to life?
•    Yes, indeed. If you’ll ask about the physical appearance, after we finalized on a look, I got a haircut done. we agreed on keeping a stubble look. When it came to building the character, I had plenty of readings with the director and my co-actors to grasp the nuances of Vaibhav right.

•    What was your reaction when you read about your character for the very first time?
•    Vaibhav’s character is very relatable to everyone, he is somebody who is trying to figure out his life. We all know a Vaibhav in our lives. His struggle within, knowing that he’s lazy isn’t favouring him, makes the character complex and playful to explore.

•    What are your thoughts on the concept of the show?
•    The concept of the show is based on a middle-class family, their dreams, and aspirations, along with highs and lows of their lives. It’s everything that has happened to most of us at some point in our lives but what sets the show apart is the way it will get the audiences hooked to it by its out of the box concept. The concept of this show blurs the line between the reality of our lives and the presence of divinity that we take for granted or overlook completely.

•    You have some talented co-actors like Geetanjali Tikekar, Nasirr Khan and Chhavvi Pandey, how has it been till now collaborating with them?
•    Your work is half done when you have such beautiful, lovely people as co-actors and all of them are so warm and welcoming. I’m sure it will be a learning experience for me, and I just look forward to learning from them and working with them.

•    Any mantra you believe in or swear by?
•    I believe in doing my homework very well so that the character I play becomes an extension of me.

•    Any message for your fans/viewers?
•    To all my fans and viewers out there, keep watching and showering all your love and wishes. I’d also like to thank you all once again because I believe aap hain to hum hain.
