Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme: Revenue Minister flags off bus carrying devotees to Sri Amritsar Sahib

Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Wednesday flagged off a bus carrying devotees to Sri Amritsar Sahib under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme in Kasabad village.

Ludhiana, February 4, 2026: Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Wednesday flagged off a bus carrying devotees to Sri Amritsar Sahib under Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme in Kasabad village. 

Mundian, while interacting with the devotees in the bus, mentioned that the Punjab Government started the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme to provide free darshan of religious places. Under this scheme, devotees will be facilitated with darshan of Sri Amritsar Sahib, Sri Anandpur Sahib and other religious sites. 

The Minister added all expenses related to accommodation, food, etc., during the yatra will be borne by the state government. He stated that people who were previously unable to visit religious places due to some reason will now be able to visit these sacred religious places thanks to the initiative taken by the state government. He stated that in today's bus, the devotees will be taken to Sri Harmandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal, Jallianwala Bagh, the partition museum, and other religious and historical places in Amritsar. He added that this is an ambitious scheme of the Punjab government and this is for people of all castes, religions, income groups, and regions. 

Mundian further said the state government has made elaborate arrangements for a free and comfortable stay for pilgrims. He added the devotees aged 50 years or above have been registered for the pilgrimage, and a voter ID card has been made mandatory for registration. He said the pilgrims will be provided with AC buses, hotel accommodations, and meals free of cost. Each bus will have an attendant to assist passengers, and a medical team will also accompany them to provide immediate assistance in case of any emergency, he added. 

The departing devotees thanked the Punjab Government and mentioned that they will be able to undertake yatra to various religious places without any expense.
