Amritsar, March 15, 2026: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab and Member of Parliament Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today visited the residence of Tajinder Singh, a resident of village Nangal Dayal Singh under the Jandiala Guru Assembly constituency and the State President of the Employees Wing. Tajinder Singh was recently a victim of alleged government excesses. Randhawa met the family members, inquired about Tajinder Singh’s health and well-being, and expressed his sympathy and support to the family.
Condemning the incident as painful and shameful, he demanded strict legal action against the police personnel responsible. He stated that the Congress Party will stand firmly with the family until Tajinder Singh gets justice and will make every possible effort to ensure that justice is delivered. Constituency in-charge and former MLA Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala was also specially present on the occasion.
Criticizing the government strongly, Randhawa said it is extremely shameful that the employees whose votes helped the Aam Aadmi Party come to power are now being subjected to continuous harassment after the formation of the government. He said such actions are unacceptable in a democracy and the guilty must be punished at the earliest. He further added that the government has failed on every front, Punjab has been turned into a police state, and the administration has lost control over law and order. Instead of beating people, the government should take steps for their welfare.
Sukhwinder Singh Danny Bandala said that the Punjab government has now revealed its true face. Every day, tear gas shells are being fired at people demanding their rights and protesters are being lathi-charged, whether they are teachers, farmers, or other government employees. He said the government is continuously adopting an oppressive attitude towards employees, and the people of Punjab will soon teach the Aam Aadmi Party government a lesson in the upcoming elections.
