Ludhiana, April 13, 2024: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora inaugurated a medical camp organised on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi at Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Charitable Hospital here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Arora lauded the management of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Charitable Hospital for its unwavering commitment to creating a healthy and disease-free society. He said the hospital truly embodies the spirit of `Sarbat da Bhala’ by providing top-notch medical care not only to patients but also offering charitable services to economically weaker sections.

As the chief guest, Arora distributed copies of the Constitution of India. He remarked, “The greatest gift one can offer is the Constitution of India—our nation's guiding light. I hope this gift inspires and benefits the entire institution. I also commend the organisers for their noble effort in bringing healthcare directly to the people through this medical camp.”

Marking his commitment to the institution, Arora also released a grant of Rs.10 lakhs for the hospital’s College of Nursing. He took time to interact with the staff and students.

In his address, Dr. Daljit Singh, Director-in-Chief of the hospital, praised Arora’s development work over the past three years. He highlighted the upcoming Halwara Airport project, crediting Arora’s efforts for making this long-awaited project a reality. "With the operationalisation of flights, Ludhiana is set to reach new heights," he said.

Dr. Daljit Singh further noted that Arora’s contributions to the healthcare sector have been equally commendable. He expressed hope that Arora, if elected from the Ludhiana (West) seat in the upcoming elections, would accelerate developmental initiatives across the city.

Among others, the hospital’s President Amardeep Bakshi, Jasmeet Bakshi, Baljit S. Makkar VP, Adv. BBS Sobti Member, Surinder Singh Bindra, Raminder Singh Sangowal, Harminder Pal Singh, Harish Sehgal, Deepak Garg, Amandeep Kaur VP Nursing, Neeraj Satija and Municipal Councillor (Ward No. 53) Gurkaran Tinna, were present.
