Ludhiana, May 13, 2205: In his poll meetings, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) assembly seat and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora has been actively engaging with the electorate, highlighting both his local development agenda and major state-level achievements. His campaign, guided by the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, reflects a clear commitment to transparency, growth, and public welfare.
Addressing enthusiastic gatherings, Arora underscored the state’s aggressive fight against drugs, emphasizing the zero-tolerance policy of the Mann-led government. “Houses of drug traffickers bought with illicit wealth are being demolished using bulldozers, sending a strong message,” he said. Police forces have been empowered to act strictly against traffickers, and Arora frequently appeals to the youth to steer clear of drugs and take part in sports and constructive activities.
He also stresses the importance of bringing governance closer to the people. Highlighting the ‘Aap Sarkar Aapke Dwaar’ initiative, Arora states that citizens are now receiving essential documents directly at home, cutting through bureaucratic delays. Additionally, the removal of the NOC requirement for registering 500-square yard plots has brought significant relief to property owners.
On the education front, he briefs about the establishment of Schools of Eminence and the regularisation of over 12,700 contractual teachers as key steps toward strengthening the state's education system.
Employment and economic development continue to be key points in Arora’s campaign. “More than 51,000 youth have already secured government jobs, and the state has attracted investments worth over Rs.70,000 crore in the past three years,” he says, while also highlights that over 3 lakh youth have been placed in private sector jobs.
He praises the creation of the Sadak Surakhya Force (SSF), equipped with 144 high-tech vehicles, which has become a crucial life-saving force for road accident victims across Punjab.
Arora also highlights the success of the free electricity scheme, under which 600 units of electricity are provided free to every household, resulting in 90% of families receiving zero electricity bills — a major financial relief for the common man.
Arora said, “This election is not just about a seat — it’s about continuing the journey of progress, accountability, and people-first governance that began under CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s leadership. I seek public support to take this mission forward.”
