MP Arora Lays Foundation Stones for 9 Road Projects Worth Rs.8.34 Crore

In a major push to improve civic infrastructure in Ludhiana, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora laid the foundation stones for nine development projects worth approximately Rs.8.34 crore on Wednesday. The ceremonies were held across multiple wards, marking a significant step towards urban development and better road connectivity in the city.

Ludhiana, May 14, 2025: In a major push to improve civic infrastructure in Ludhiana, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora laid the foundation stones for nine development projects worth approximately Rs.8.34 crore on Wednesday. The ceremonies were held across multiple wards, marking a significant step towards urban development and better road connectivity in the city.

The projects span various parts of Ludhiana and include road construction, resurfacing, and installation of interlocking tiles in residential colonies and urban areas. The projects undertaken are as under: Construction of Mettalled road in Joshi Nagar Part-1 in Ward No.65; Provision and Fixing of 60mm thick interlocking tiles on side berms of different areas of Kitchlu Nagar (Blocks E, F and G) in Ward No.63; Laying SDBC in road of Yes Bank to Saggu Chowk in Ward No. 61; Providing and Laying OGPC in Parkash Colony Road, Asha Puri main road and streets of Shere Punjab Colony in Ward No.59; Providing and Laying OGPC in various streets of Shamsher Avenue in Ward No.58; Providing and Laying BM & OGPC in Block J of Sarabha Nagar in Ward No.55; Providing and laying interlocking tiles on side berms in Block D of BRS Nagar in Ward No.57; Providing and laying 80 mm thick interlocking tiles in Village Sunet in Ward No.57; and Laying BM & OGPC in Various streets of Karnail Singh Nagar Phase-2 in Ward No.54. 

While addressing the gatherings, Arora emphasized the importance of grassroots development and his commitment to public welfare. He said, “These projects are part of our broader mission to ensure better roads, cleaner surroundings, and improved public facilities. Our focus remains on sustainable urban growth and long-term infrastructural improvements.”

He added that citizen feedback plays a crucial role in prioritizing development works and expressed gratitude for the public’s cooperation.
