Ludhiana, May 31, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency, held a interaction with residents of Rishi Nagar (F-Block), Ludhiana, on Sunday. The event was organized by the Rishi Nagar F-Block Welfare Association.

During the interaction, Arora shared highlights from his three-year report card, detailing key development projects such as the Halwara Airport, the elevated road, the upgradation and renovation of ESI Hospital and Civil Hospital, and the construction of four bridges on the Sidhwan Canal. He stated that several of these projects have already been completed, while others are nearing completion.

Arora emphasized the state government’s ongoing campaign "Yudh Nashiyan Virudh" aimed at eradicating drug abuse from Punjab. He shared that over 8,300 individuals allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade have been arrested so far. He asserted that this campaign will continue until the drug menace is completely eliminated. Arora added that drug addicts are responsible for a large number of theft and snatching cases, and since the launch of the campaign, such incidents have significantly declined.

To further improve law and order, Arora mentioned that an additional police force of 140 personnel has been deployed across Ludhiana. He noted that PCR teams are regularly patrolling the city and also assisting in managing traffic congestion. He reiterated the state government’s strong commitment—under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann—to cracking down on anti-social elements and drug-related activities.

Bhupesh Gupta from the Rishi Nagar F-Block Welfare Association praised Arora’s service record over the past three years. He described Arora as the best candidate for the upcoming Ludhiana (West) bypoll, citing his ability to coordinate effectively with both central and state governments, departments, and local administration. He urged residents to support and vote for Arora in the upcoming by-election to give him the opportunity to represent the constituency in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha.

Those present at the event included Dr. S. K. Thaman, Sandeep Salwan, Sandeep Aggarwal, Bhupesh Gupta, Shubham Gupta, Munish Shah, and Navdeep Navi.
