Ludhiana, August 20, 2022: Mohandai Oswal Hospital has launched new state-of-the-art medical equipment - Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) “The inaugural ceremony of the new machine was graced by honorable Civil Surgeon of Ludhiana Dr Hitinder Kaur. The event was attended by Yogendra Awadhiya (Director - Operations), Dr. Murtuza Habib (Director-Medical Services), Dr Manpreet Jhinger (Nephrologist), Dr Vikas Sikri (Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialist) and other senior doctors of hospital .

Dr Hitinder Kaur, Civil Surgeon Ludhiana, told that with the support of latest technique and infrastructure, Mohandai Oswal Hospital will be able to provide quality health services and essential care to the general public. 

While talking on the inauguration ceremony, Yogendra Awadhiya said, The Hospital has left no stone unturned to have best-in-class Medical technologies. Dr Manpreet Kaur Jhinger explained that CRRT is a type of blood purification therapy used with patients who are experiencing Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). During this therapy, a patient’s blood passes through a special filter that removes fluid and uremic toxins, returning clean blood to the body. The slow and continuous nature of the process, typically performed over a 24-hour period, allows patients with unstable blood pressure and heart rates, which is termed hemo dynamically unstable, to better tolerate this process.
