Dharamshala: The Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Anurag Singh Thakur, said that the reforms implemented by the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the door to becoming the country's economic superpower. Addressing the BJP workers meet in Dharamshala on Thursday he appealed to them to take the achievements of the Modi government to the public.

Anurag Thakur said, “The Modi government is committed to make India an economic superpower and to shape the future of 125 crore countrymen. In order to make India a $ 5 trillion economy and make the country self-reliant, the Modi government has undertaken such major reforms in areas of coal, mineral, power, defense sector, civil aviation, social infra project, space and atomic energy. This step will create a strong, capable and prosperous India of the future.”

Thakur further added that the biggest achievement of Bharatiya Janata Party is good governance and corruption free government. Earlier, the Modi government has done the task of clearing the brokers - middlemen who used to control  the power corridors from Delhi to Shimla during the previous government regime. “I call upon every party worker and official to ensure his contribution in bringing these achievements of the government to the maximum among the people, "added the Minister.
Speaking further, Anurag Thakur said that the budget this time prepared to increase new opportunities for development, new openings for our youth, a new high level for human resources, to develop new areas for infrastructure, technology. Government has tried the approach of moving towards and bringing new reforms in this budget.

He added that the government has increased the expenditure by about 35% to Rs. 118000 crores in roads, Rs. 110000 crores for railways, Rs. 50110 crores for water-water-life missions, Rs. 223000 crores for health, that too with 137% increase, for labourers- 73000 crore rupees for MNREGA, 65000 crore rupees in Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana, a provision has been made to buy 20000 buses to strengthen the automobile sector, so that the poor people  gets the benefit of travelling in good buses, doubling the metro train are few to talk about. This budget was seen as India's first financial roadmap after Covid. The Union Budget 2021-22 was expected to focus on economic recovery, growth and job creation in addition to the mandatory emphasis on health care and budget announcements were in line with those expectations There was a huge increase in spending on infrastructure, attention was given to domestic production and job creation and the emphasis was on self-reliance.
Anurag Thakur said, ₹ 5.5 lakh crore has been earmarked for capital investment in this budget towards economic reforms, which will strengthen the industries. At the same time, it has been decided to give ₹ 20,000 crores to the public banks.

Anurag Thakur said, “We have cleared the way for the credit target of agriculture to 16 lakh crores. Provision of 65000 crores made by PM Kisan Samman Nidhi for farmers. The Modi government transferred nearly three times the amount from the UPA government to the farmers' accounts. The Modi government has made a provision of Rs 16.5 lakh crore in this year's budget to provide easy credit to the farmers of the country. Also, the micro irrigation fund has been doubled, which will give a boost to the agriculture sector. 5 agricultural hubs will also be built in the country. Several efforts were made to increase the rural infrastructure fund from Rs 30 to 40 thousand crores, Rs 10 thousand crores for minor irrigation projects.” 

Anurag Thakur said, “The Modi government is firmly committed to women's empowerment and as a result we have taken special care of women in the budget 2021-22. A budget of Rs 28,600 crore has been kept for specific schemes being run for women. An allocation of Rs 35,600 crore has been made for the Nutritional Plan for the year 2020-2021.

It is a great budget brought in the time of pandemic and its objective is to make India's economic system a five trillion dollar economy and bring it to the world's largest economy.
