MNOA Chandigarh holds blood donation camp to mark National Maritime Week

Over 40 units of blood were donated today during a camp organized by Merchant Navy Officers' Association (MNOA), Chandigarh in association with Stepping Stones School, Sector 38-A, Chandigarh and Bharat Vikas Parishad, West II Branch, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, April 1, 2023: Over 40 units of blood were donated today during a camp organized by Merchant Navy Officers' Association (MNOA), Chandigarh in association with Stepping Stones School, Sector 38-A, Chandigarh and Bharat Vikas Parishad, West II Branch, Chandigarh.


“The response to the blood donation camp organized at Stepping Stones School, Sector 38-A, Chandigarh, was good. The camp was conducted to mark the National Maritime Day, -which falls on April 5th. It is our annual event, which we organize as a part of our social responsibility to give back to the society,” said Captain Tejinder Singh Bhatia, President, MNOA, Chandigarh.


Captain Bhatia said that a team of doctors, nurses and paramedics from GMCH-32, Chandigarh, conducted the camp. “We are grateful to GMCH-32 and Capt. Sanjiv Kumar, Director of Stepping Stones School, Sec 38-A, Chandigarh for being so supportive in making the camp successful every time, for the last so many years,” said he.


Reflecting further, Captain Bhatia said: “Every organization should come forward and do its bit to strengthening social ecosystem, which is the need of the hour.”
