MLA Prashar, Mayor and Sr Dy Mayor kick start project to renovate Zone B office building of MC
In a bid to upgrade infrastructure and facilitate the residents visiting civic body offices, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar inaugurated the project to renovate zone B office of Municipal Corporation (MC) near Shingar cinema on Wednesday.

Ludhiana, May 21, 2025: In a bid to upgrade infrastructure and facilitate the residents visiting civic body offices, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar inaugurated the project to renovate zone B office of Municipal Corporation (MC) near Shingar cinema on Wednesday.
Also, the project has been kick started to establish a box cricket ground in the park adjoining Zone B office building. The park falls under Ranjit park area. The aim of the project is to develop sports culture among the youth.
The project to renovate Zone B office building is being taken up at an estimated cost of around Rs 1.23 crore. Under this project, the civic body will refurbish toilet sets, flooring, wall paint, suvidha kendra etc. The officials stated that the office building was in dire need of renovation as no major renovation work was taken up in the last around 25 years.
Similarly, the box cricket ground is being taken up at a cost of around Rs 13 lakh. MLA Ashok Prashar, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar stated that Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government is committed to facilitate the public at large. Apart from taking up renovation works, steps are also being taken up to streamline the working of the civic body, wherever required, so that residents should not face any trouble in getting their work done in MC offices.
MLA Prashar further stated that establishment of box cricket ground in the area will encourage the youth to remain fit and it will further develop sports culture among children. He further stated that projects worth crores are being taken up in Ludhiana Central constituency to ensure sustainable development at large.
