MLA Bagga kick starts Rs 40 lakh project to install storm sewer in Shivpuri area; project to bring major relief from water logging 

For bringing a major relief to the residents and shopkeepers from waterlogging during the rainy season, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga inaugurated the project to install storm sewer line in Shivpuri area (near Tootiyan Wala Mandir) on Monday.

Ludhiana, December 1, 2025: For bringing a major relief to the residents and shopkeepers from waterlogging during the rainy season, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga inaugurated the project to install storm sewer line in Shivpuri area (near Tootiyan Wala Mandir) on Monday.
 
The area falls under ward number 88 of the civic body and the project is being taken up at a cost of around Rs 40 lakh wherein the storm sewer would be laid from Tootiyan Wala Mandir till Buddha Dariya. 

Accompanied by councillor Neeraj Ahuja, councillor Aman Bagga among other residents of the area, MLA Bagga stated that the project will bring major relief for the residents/shopkeepers in Shivpuri main market, Jain Nagar, Basant Nagar and adjoining areas. He stated that it was a long pending demand of the residents which has now been fulfilled. 

The members of Shivpuri market association among other residents of the area appreciated the efforts of MLA Bagga for taking up the project which is necessary for the development of the area. 

MLA Bagga further stated that installation of new sewer lines will also improve sanitation in the area and the civic body officials have been directed to ensure that there is no compromise with the quality of works.

MLA Bagga further stated that working under the guidance of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann, a large number of development works are being taken up for facilitating the residents at ground level and for ensuring sustainable development.
