In the camp, where young volunteers interacted with senior citizens, spreading awareness about hypertension while strengthening intergenerational bonding and social responsibility. The event was organized under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain in collaboration with Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana.
Students trained under Mission Swasth Kavach actively participated in the camp and demonstrated the correct method of Blood Pressure monitoring to senior citizens of the SCWA. They also educated attendees about the harmful effects of hypertension and emphasized the importance of regular BP monitoring, healthy lifestyle habits, and timely medical consultation.
Doctors from DMCH sensitized the audience about hypertension, often referred to as the “Silent Killer” because it can silently damage health without noticeable symptoms. They explained the causes, risks, preventive measures, and management of high blood pressure in a simple and impactful manner.
