Minerva Academy FC Thrash Himalayan Kinnaur FC 13–0 to Complete Double Over Himachal Side

Chandigarh, February 2, 2026: Minerva Academy Football Club delivered one of their most dominant performances of the season, demolishing Himalayan Kinnaur FC 13–0 to complete a commanding double over the Himachal club in the ongoing league campaign. The result further strengthens Minerva’s position near the top of the table and significantly boosts their goal difference heading into a crucial upcoming fixture.
Coming into the match on the back of a strong win against Sri Dashmesh Martial SA, Minerva carried forward their momentum with ruthless attacking intent. Himalayan Kinnaur FC, meanwhile, entered the contest after a defeat against Punjab FC. Due to heavy rainfall across Northern India, the fixture was relocated to the Namdhari FA Ground, where Minerva adapted quickly and imposed their authority from the opening whistle.
The Warriors began in aggressive fashion, pressing high and attacking with purpose to build an early advantage. Their intent paid off in the 8th minute, when Raj opened the scoring with a clinical finish, marking his third goal in as many consecutive matches. Just four minutes later, Daksh doubled the lead, capitalising on sustained pressure and sharp build-up play.
What followed was a relentless attacking exhibition led by Hemneichung Lunkim, who produced a sensational individual performance. The forward ran riot against the opposition backline, scoring nine goals in the match and taking his season tally to 18 goals. His movement, pace, and finishing proved too much for the Himalayan defence, which struggled to cope with Minerva’s tempo and positional rotations.
Minerva’s attacking wave showed no signs of slowing down, with Rokash and Shelpa adding one goal each to round off a comprehensive 13–0 scoreline.
The match highlighted Minerva Academy FC’s lethal style of play — built on high pressing, quick transitions, width utilisation, and constant attacking overloads. Their structured yet fearless approach repeatedly broke through the defensive lines, leaving the opposition with little room to recover or reorganise. The coordinated midfield control and overlapping runs from wide areas ensured continuous pressure throughout both halves.
This emphatic victory serves as a major confidence boost for the Warriors ahead of their next league-stage clash against Punjab FC. With this result, Minerva Academy FC now sits firmly second in the points table, having scored 29 goals in 8 matches, underlining their status as one of the most dangerous attacking units in the competition.
Minerva will look to carry this momentum forward as the league enters a decisive phase.
