Jalandhar, May 16, 2015: DIPS Gilzian organized Mime Competition in which the students from classes VI-X participated. It was an Inter-house competition, so all the house masters along with mentors prepared the students. This competition held under the supervision of Principal Ms.RekhaNayyar and Department Activity In-Charge Ms.Pavneet Kaur. The motive behind this activity was to tell the students about the importance of expressions and gestures. Though language and words are important but sometimes we need expressions to express our emotions and feelings.
Students gave energetic performance on the themes such as: - Effects of mobile phones, Dowry Sytem, Equality and many more. The judgment was done on the basis of expressions, costumes, content and presentation. Students held different chart papers of messages also which enhanced the quality of their presentations.
Through the fair and just judgment, Yellow House (Gurleen Kaur (VIII),Manpreet Kaur (VIII),Kulvir Singh (VIII),Karandeep Singh(VIII),Sunpareet Singh (VI) ) got first position and Green House (Daljeet Singh (VIII), Palveen Kaur (IX), Harmanpreet Singh (IX), Harpreet Kaur (VII), Vikramjit Singh (VIII), Samanjot Kaur (VIII) Manpreet Singh (VII) and Gurpreet Singh (IX) ) got second position.
All participants performed very well under the guidance of their mentors. During this activity Ms.Sumandeep Kaur, Ms.Pavneet Kaur, Ms.Pooja Sharma, Mr.HarpreetSingh ,Ms.Mandeep Kaur, Ms.Rajveer Kaur were present.
In the end Chairman of DIPS Institutions Mr.Gurbachan Singh .CEO Ms.Monika Mandotra& Principal congratulated all the winners and house teachers as well for their best efforts.
