Meritorious students felicitated with scholarships

Jalandhar: B.D.Arya College, Jalandhar Cantt organised an event wherein fourteen meritorious students scoring more than 80%  were felicitated with scholarships by Sarbat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust, wherein Dr.Girish Bali, Additional Commissioner, Income Tax, was the Chief Guest. On this occasion, Mr.Amarjot Singh, Secretary, North Region, Sarabat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust, highlighted the aim of opening up avenues for education for the underprivileged sections of our society by providing such scholarships. 

Addressing the students, the Chief Guest Dr.Girish Bali said that education should prepare the younger generation to face the complex realities of globalisation. 

Principal Dr.Sarita Verma appreciated the efforts of the trust for their upliftment of higher education and also thanked S.Amarjot Singh, Sh.Vinod Bhalla, S.Jaskirat Singh and Sh.Atam Parkash for gracing the occasion. Mrs.Monika Maini and Mrs.Mandeep Kaur were the incharges of the event.
