`Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign at Air Force Station Adampur

To commemorate 75 years of Independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) is being celebrated as the people led initiative. The Govt of India has launched & 'Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign' as a continuation for celebration of AKAM. Various activities in line with the theme were conducted at Air Force Station Adampur from 09 to 15 August 2023.

Jalandhar: To commemorate 75 years of Independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) is being celebrated as the people led initiative. The Govt of India has launched & 'Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign' as a continuation for celebration of AKAM. Various activities in line with the theme were conducted at Air Force Station Adampur from 09 to 15 August 2023.


 
An  Amrit Vatika  was developed by planting of 75 saplings of indigenous species to replenish mother Earth as ‘Vasudha Vandhan’ at Manko & Chomon village on 11 Aug 23. ‘Panch Pran' pledge was also taken at Air Force Station Adampur on 14 Aug 23.  The local residents also participated in the programme.
 
Freedom fighters of our nation were honored as a part of ‘Veeron Ka Vandan'; at Manko Village on 11 Aug 23. Retired personnel from the three services, Central and State Police participated in the felicitation programme. On 15 August 2023 national flag was unfurled by Air Commodore A K Chaudhary VM, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Adampur.
 
The campaign was conducted successfully with the effective co-ordination of District Youth Officer from Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Kulvinder and Kirti Kant. Whole hearted participation by all personnel of the Station, their family members and residents of localities and panchayat made the event a grand success.
