Ludhiana, May 20, 2025: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner State Tax, Randhir Kaur, today a meeting was held with office bearers of Associations representing Coaching Institutes and Rental Services providers falling in the jurisdiction of the State GST Department, Ludhiana -3 by Shinee Singh, ACST, Sukhwinder Singh, STO, Hardeep Singh Ahuja and Rajesh Kumar, ASTOs in the office of ACST, Ludhiana-3.
The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance the tax base by ensuring compliance with GST regulations among coaching institutes and rental service providers. The purpose of this meeting was to increase the tax base of the State of Punjab by educating the members for getting registrations under GST ACT, 2017. The members of the Association were apprised of the fact that the Government of Punjab is always available for redressal of any grievances with regard to the Taxation department. The members were requested to convey to their counterparts for Tax compliances.
It was conveyed strongly that the coaching institutes are not issuing invoices of supply of services which is an offence under the relevant sections of GST ACT. They were educated on the importance of getting registered under GST ACT for smooth functioning of their ventures. The issue of taxation on the rental services were also discussed at length. Various queries were raised by the attendees and were answered by the officers of the department.
All the attending members were thanked and were assured full help on any issue regarding registration of coaching institutes as well as suppliers of rental services.
